Native American Music/ Ly-o-lay-ale-loya

February 5th, 2010 . by AB Kinney

***Native Americans***
Peoples who occupied North America before the arrival of the Europeans in the 15th cent. They have long been known as Indians because of the belief prevalent at the time of Columbus that the Americas were the outer reaches of the Indies (i.e., the East Indies). Most scholars agree that Native Americans came into the Western Hemisphere from Asia via the Bering Strait in a series of migrations. From Alaska they spread east and south. The several waves of migration are said to account for the many native linguistic families while the common origin is used to explain the physical characteristics that Native Americans have in common (though with considerable variation)Mongoloid features, coarse, straight black hair, dark eyes, sparse body hair, and a skin color ranging from yellow-brown to reddish brown. Many scholars accept evidence of Native American existence in the Americas back more than 25,000 years. In pre-Columbian times (prior to 1492) the Native American population of the area N of Mexico is estimated to have been between one and two million. From prehistoric times until recent historic times there were roughly six major cultural areas, excluding that of the Arctic, i.e., Northwest Coast, Plains, Plateau, Eastern Woodlands, Northern, and Southwest.

    the Europeans …
the Europeans destroyed most of this amazing culture… they took their way of life away from them… so terrible.

    Some scientists …
Some scientists compared the Native American – Turkish Altaic and Mongolian culture with each other and said, that these three nations have many things in common. They are three different nations, but have the almost the same lifestyle. Firstly I didn’t trust it but if I see these pictures, I have to agree. This is really phenomenal…I’m glad to be part of the Altaic people.

Do you think the US …
Do you think the US treaties with other countries are going to be kept forever? I don’t. I don’t hate anyone either, I just get tired of all the complaining on these videos.

see what you dont understand is that those treaties should be kept TO THIS DAY they tell us no! it’s not valid because the people who made it are not ere anymore well what about the people who wrote the constitution? I DONT HATE NE1

And I hope you do …
And I hope you do get a national holiday. Just be proud of where you came from, and remember it. I don’t hate the South because they fought with my ancestors in the Civil War, because it’s in the past, and there is nothing anyone can do to change it.

    I assure you I am …
I assure you I am not a “troll.” I come on here to listen to the music, because Native American and Celtic music are my favorite. I only made an account and posted because I get SO sick of the “poor me” comments. How long are you all going to hate the “white man” for something that WE had nothing to do with? The Romans took our land and killed our people too, but I am not complaining about it because it happened a long time ago.

    I believe native …
I believe native american culture is beautiful. I do not know of any native american blood in my family but I still believe they are beautiful. Why can’t anyone get along? Thats the million dollar question. We should all act like family because we are all human. We may not come from the same culture but we are all human.

i am proud of the native americans when listening to this song, and i don’t have a drop of their blood(that i know of). so, may the sacred spirit be with you, as we’re all one.

    why do people keep …
why do people keep saying about other people’s cultures? if we have to go into detail, we ALL come from the same roots, wether you believe in evolution or a religion, everybody agree, humans are one specie. so, instead of being proud of being romanian or native american or viking(my self) just be proud of being human, and having the possibilities of what this song i all about, life.

There is a lot of …
There is a lot of interesting speculation about “native” people on the North American Continent. I current understanding is there were only immigrants, some who came across land bridges from Asia, some who later came by sea. Yet another
find, a rare Clovis spearhead found in the town of Sahuarita, Arizona dates back a staggering 11,000 to 13,000 years. Experts are adamant the find will allow us to know more about a people who predate even the ancestors of today’s Native Americans.
